This was easy to apply to my windows. I carefully measured and traced the outline on the substrate before cutting. I actually cut this sheet into two thinner sheets for a couple of windows. The backing was easy to remove and I used very little water to apply the foil. The squeegee was useful in removing air bubbles. I've never bought a kit that included a tool, so that was a plus. The more transparent areas let in a little more light, but no part remains completely dark. It's much nicer looking at a window with artwork than at our air conditioner. Best of all, it looks great in our windows and we've already had compliments on it. It looks like a stained glass window and each section is beautifully shaded and blended. This particular design is elegant without being fussy.
