Review on Remanufactured Power Steering Gear - Cardone 27-6534 by Gary Stringfield

As I haven't installed it yet, this review is based on my first impression. I will update this in a few months when my jeep project goes live. They say it has "an anti-rust coating that protects critical areas without affecting operation." I'm curious as to what type of paint they used because it's definitely not POR15. When I opened the box the paint was still sticky and the wrapping paper was stuck to it. When I tried to remove it with a metal brush I noticed there was a lot of rust underneath the paint. You would think that the restored part would at least be blown up by the media and if it was, it would be a VERY bad job. Also, there was so much buildup and paint dross on the mounting surface that it had to be scraped off as well. I rarely write reviews and I never write bad ones, but it has to be said. I would be ashamed to sell such a product.
