so I will start my usage. I work in small low voltage electronics, drone wiring and batteries. If you want to know how it works with Molex ATX connectors and motherboard, you should skip my review. I've mostly soldered low voltage electrical components and said JST connectors made life easier. Prior to this tool, I had never made JST or Dupont connectors in my life. The kit contains everything you need except for the cable you use for the connections. This crimping tool is a good weight, the jaws appear to be a stronger material than the whole head so it won't wear out or crack considering it bites like teeth. It's like enamel. The spring on the top, which returns the device to the open position after being pressed, seems functional and durable. The handles are hard plastic, the grip is nice, I don't feel like I'll get arthritis from overuse. Overall the functionality is good, I haven't made a single bad connector and never have. On the inside of the jaw there are grooves through which the wings must not come out, so as not to screw. The metal connectors you crimp also have an extended metal tab that I used to hold the tiny element in place. You must crimp all the way before you can loosen them unless you manually unscrew the set screw. The advice that helped me was that this is a professional tool, the tool can only do a certain part of the job. You always need steady hands and precision to get the best results. I don't have any of these because I drink a lot of coffee and can't keep my hands still. To help, I just put my elbows on the table and focused on lowering the crimp to the point where the valve deflector in the jaw was preventing the connector from going through. This allowed me to easily insert and crimp the wire. Then I did JST Wire and DuPont for drone liposuction, I cut off all the connectors because I didn't know what I was doing at the time. But now the connections are back and everything is fine. Don't forget the shrink wrap. I also noticed that my Tanaris x7 had a Dupont socket which I later found out was thrown into American charge controllers. They want you to buy an accessory or something to make it work. I just made a free xt30-jst connector and it works fine with charging so I don't have to remove the battery and potentially damage the circuit board inside if I unplug it and charge. Just less general annoyance too. I also plan to use this for air traffic controllers. Some have a pre-soldered socket so I can customize and make my own connections for easy replacement. I'm happy with that, I see more uses if you want to make your own electrical circuits and PCB materials, but not at this level yet. Overall a great product and for $40 the tool is good along with all the connectors in the boxes because I don't have to worry about how to organize them or where to put them.
