Review on πŸ”¨ Efficiently Rough Surfaces with Trend FTS 90 120 Grit Fasttrack Roughing by Jeremy Jackz

not that efficient. in Sharpening Stones

I am new to sharpening when I purchased this product. After the difficulty of running the Sharp 3000 (the ws3000 is really hard to set up, seems easy but is actually hard!). After looking at the picture and the ad, I decided I needed this. Out of the box everything seems right, when I attached the sharpening stone I found that the sharpening stone moved slightly and couldn't stay taut. This problem caused by the magnetic button holding the sharpening stone is only one. I wonder why Trend didn't do it with 2 buttons? When I rubbed my blades with it, I found that the diamond stone came off easily. After sharpening 2 blades, I found the blade wasn't sharp enough. Maybe because the stone chips that come with trend feet aren't smooth enough. So since it's hard to find a high grit on a diamond stone, I'll probably have to re-sharpen the blade on a higher grit water stone, which means I'll need a sharpening guide. FYI I use trend lapping fluid when using the FTS trend. The result doesn't help much, see my other review for details. Maybe. If we can make a small board the size of the grindstone that came with it, we can glue the sandpaper on it. Will work the same way. It's good to try if it's worth saving.
