Will not work with Specter gas canisters
I used this to replace the child and user safe spout on the Spectre 5 gallon gas canister. A black cap with thin threads will not work. The yellow threaded cap screws onto the plastic jar but is too long to properly seal the new 8" spout to keep it from leaking. If you buy this you will need to cut the old spout lock nut off the old one. nozzle and use it with this spout. The new vent modification requires a 1/2 inch drill bit. This item makes the gas cylinder usable, but requires some modifications. I would probably try a different modification if I bought additional items.
