I have very curled lashes that make applying mascara a mess. I always have qtips on hand to clean my lid, but I also end up wiping some mascara off my (again, very curly) lashes. This tool greatly reduces the amount I have to erase. I don't have to brush my left eye at all because the lashes aren't as curled as the right ones. I did have to clean up a bit on the right, but a lot less than usual. This may be due to my eye shape, but I can't fully line up the tool with my lashes, so there's still a little more open just above the lash line (where I eventually have to clean up). Lid. I'm taking off a star because it doesn't fit and therefore doesn't completely eliminate the cleaning and discomfort of plastic (silicone would be a better material). But it's easier with it than not having it, so I think it was a wise purchase.
