I've had plants that melted. Initially added enough for 10 gallons. I now add about 1ml after a water change. Plants that have melted have new growth, and those that were fine erupt to the surface. Two of them grew large enough to be cut open and transferred to my 10 gallon pygmy puffer tank. Instead of throwing away the thawed leaves, I let them float in the tank after I finished thawing. They are now rooted and large enough to be attached to the screen. Finally I have shrimp and snails and they have been fine for about a month now. I know some of these farms contain negligible amounts of copper (I'm not sure) but water changes and minimal dosing have worked for me.
