This thermal switch that is used on our water heater has been a problem for us for years. For some reason the thermal switch trips about every year and when it resets it keeps tripping. If you install a new one after a while, the same thing happens. I want to clarify that this is not the supplier's fault. I believe the problem is with the water heater itself and not the switch provider.
