Mac users are back from the hose! (Edit: Windows sucks too!)

I recently bought this keyboard for my Mac Mini and I'm not happy with it. The keyboard lags just enough to drive me crazy! For example, when capitalizing the first letter of a sentence, if my finger rests on the Shift key for too long, the next 5 characters I type appear after about half a second, and they're all capitalized. Likewise, the mouse takes 2 to 5 seconds to respond after exiting the home screen. The Mac software for this supposedly Mac compatible keyboard is worse. Some of the extra buttons don't do anything at all on Mac OS, and others don't do what you might expect. Browser buttons only support Safari and do nothing in third-party browsers like Firefox and Seamonkey (according to the manufacturer's website, support "might be added in future versions", but the current version is over a year old). The media keys only control iTunes, not Quicktime or other media applications. If iTunes isn't running when I press one of the media buttons, it launches iTunes and then performs this function; useless and annoying feature. The button remapping interface includes all 3 buttons, one of which is mislabeled. I have yet to determine battery life as the software randomly throws out low battery messages no matter how long I've been replacing them. All in all a very crappy and useless driver program. It annoys me that I wasted my money on this thing. Despite the recent price drop, it's not worth the money. ***EDIT*** After this set failed me for my Mac, I gave it to my wife for her Windows machine. Everything worked fine until I downloaded and installed the driver software so I could remap additional buttons beyond the standard ones. Now the multimedia and internet keys on the keyboard don't work and the mouse has constant problems. Responds to pressure but does not respond to movement. I even uninstalled the software and drivers hoping it would work again but it still refuses to work. Don't waste money on it! There's a reason they just dropped the price by $30. Even for the reduced price, it's still not worth the money.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Makes me angry
