Wiring problem, no instructions. The two thicker wires (gray and black) for the pump factory are the same colors. The 2 smaller wires (purple and black with white stripe) for the fuel level sender box - there are 2 purple wires at the factory so I don't think it matters which direction they go. I spent some time researching my factory pump's wiring and everything was easy to figure out. The new cable connector hit the large metal pins on the locking ring so I cut them off. The new pump is identical to my factory pump and just as quiet. During work (1/2 hour). The fuel level sensor is now working. Installed on a 2004 Buick Century, I pulled the rear seat out of the trunk and unbuckled the seat belt panel to reveal the trunk mat. Consider buying new fuel line clamps, they are easy to lose or break. UPDATE: I've lost most of my AM radio reception. It's a quiet pump, and the radio doesn't "buzz," it just turns off all but the strongest stations unless I turn the engine off.
