I have and use several buoys sold by Revain and they are basically the same - work well for a while then start to fail due to wear, punctures or slow leaks. I came across this one that claims to be more durable and I have to say I'm very impressed. The material is a thicker nylon which feels much stronger than the thinner PVC used by other buoys and I also see reinforcement around the edges of the buoy. I ran this marathon buoy through long swims, waves, salt water, tugs and tugs. Don't be fooled by other cheaper options, this is the real deal.
