I was never interested in getting a spiked collar for one of our dogs…. Until recently! We live in the country and the new neighbor has a pit bull that comes to our house all the time. Our back yard is fenced off with a 4 foot picket fence and our Bo-Jack (medium sized dog @ 30 lbs) takes his defensive dog attitude quite seriously. So when the neighbor's dog appears in our forest, he warns and gets very upset about it. We fear that if the pit bull jumps the fence, a dog fight will start. I saw this collar and laughed at it at first...they say it will look cool and the other dog won't jump into the fenced area (silly of course). But my husband said it's not about looks, it's about protecting your neck and jugular from another dog during a fight. Well, that's all, I bought it immediately! Our dog is so cute, he won't hurt anyone, but another dog in his yard is a different story. I measured his neck (17 inches) and ordered a size small in black leather. It arrived in a few days (very quickly) and we are impressed with its quality! They have used very good quality leather, the spikes are strong and the buckle is really strong. Our dog was easy to dress up and seems very comfortable in it. The size chart on the website is accurate, it fits him perfectly. Not to mention how cool he looks! I have peace of mind knowing he will have a shield to protect him should he need one. That's a great price for it, if I had bought it from a pet store or feed store it would have been at least double the price.
