When I received it I tried it on different trailers to make sure it would fit. It worked fine at first, but on the third pendant I pulled the pin out and the magnet stayed. Not a big deal, I half expected that based on the reviews I read. I removed the magnet from the tag and attached it to the pin with Elmer's Probond Advanced glue. I also covered the magnet with a thin layer of glue. These magnets are quite fragile. A grazing impact can lead to breakage. I speak from experience. A light layer of adhesive will help reduce the chance of this happening. By the way, this glue becomes transparent after drying, so you can't see that it's there. Now the magnet stays on the pin. The only problem I have now is that the magnet is very strong. I am an old wimp, 71 years old. I have a hard time figuring things out. I often tap the floor with a hammer to get it out of the clutch. People of average height and strength shouldn't have any problems. I will use it this summer and if everything works as it should I will buy more. I have four cars with this type of hitch.
