First pluses:* Absolutely no boom sag. It's rock solid and stays in place.* The quick-adjust compression mechanism on the vertical section is very comfortable. Especially if you frequently switch from sitting to standing, this allows you to quickly adjust the overall mic height without changing the boom angle (which would then require re-adjusting the mic angle). It is convenient to do this in one motion*. I like having only one piece for the boom (unlike telescopic models) because it's easier to add a pop-up screen. The telescopic models have a very thin mount that doesn't work well with my pop screen. *The quick release mic clip is a cool bonus. Cons: * Rod mount does NOT rotate. So you can't pull it towards you and then push it away when you don't need it. The only way to rotate is to either lift the whole thing up or unlink where the legs meet the vertical arm so it rotates there. But the EZ grip has no swivel. Maybe it was necessary for the design of the handle, I don't know. * In "Arrow Mode" you cannot get vertical. To get to the vertical position, you need to extend the arrow from the knee, and then lower it into the vertical arrow. A whole range of movement degrees is missing: it doesn't get any closer than 45 degrees to the vertical in arrow mode. But overall I'm happy with it! Stability and ease of customization are the most important things for me.
