I took them to start bird watching. Without knowing much about optics I thought these would be a good pair to start with. Inexpensive, good reviews, big enough to catch a good amount of light. etc. I've had them for a few weeks now. They are alright. I get a fairly sharp image with it, but not super sharp. My real criticism is the color. I don't know what's wrong with them, but the color transfers poorly. To the point where I couldn't say for sure that what I saw was a robin. Robin. The sun was just setting, but without glasses (I'm nearsighted) it showed more color than these. In short, they are good for watching a baseball game or whatever, but not good for bird watching. I feel like I spent $30 on them - that's money that could have gone towards a decent pair that I'm about to buy.
