So the packaging is nice and aesthetic right away. The packaging alone makes you think of a gift for the holidays. This is a nice denim bag that I can reuse for other things around the house (hooray, recycle and eco-friendly packaging!). It's REALLY snug against the sheets but a little pressure pulls the product out. And you want to cut the rope that holds the sheets together with witch scissors, I can't untie double knots. Here you can see the quality and the focus on sustainability. It is impressive. When I opened the box there was a strange smell, but I asked the company and they were EXTREMELY responsive and nice. They explained that since all sheets have been moved to recyclable boxes, the cardboard smell lingers on the sheets (and that this is a common problem with pure cotton products). They emphasized that they could use plastic to prevent this odor, but this contradicts their commitment to sustainable packaging. (I respect it). They told me it would go away with the first wash (which I would anyway). They also promised to find a sustainable solution for their next installment. I'm impressed when a company responds honestly, acknowledges its mistakes, and tries to move forward without resorting to quick fixes. Update: washed, the smell is gone and they are really good!
