The workmanship of this monopod is excellent. All sections go from smooth to hard in less than 1/2 turn of rubber-coated aluminum barrel adjusters. The leg locks work much better than other twist locks I've used and they are as good or even better than the cam locks over the thumb, which is great. The first thing I did was apply locktight to the strands of the elastic leg to hold it in place. I especially like the reversible camera mount that offers 1/4 and 3/8 sizes. Thread depth can also be adjusted with the round top fitting that pulls the entire top assembly together. High quality foam strap and handle. I can't imagine any improvement. Very happy with this device.
