For the price, it does its job well. One of our letters was defective, but the seller sent us a different set. Inflate: Rub your fingers at the entry point until you feel the two sides separate, like old plastic bags at the grocery store. Insert the straw about 75% and inflate. Save the straw to blow away. To deflate: use the original straw that comes with the balloons. Rub your fingers over the entry point to loosen it and make sure the straw goes almost all the way into the balloon. Eventually you will feel it break through the protective layer and you can deflate the balloon. Make sure the hose is completely empty with the straw in place.
