Chosera: The Best Water Stones You Can Buy

Chosera's selection of stones is my favorite. I sharpen knives on the side and it's my way to stones with expensive kitchen knives or super steel knives or expensive knives in general that I want to handle in the best possible way. Stones will splash and fly, NOT WET, they are very strong and will wear out slowly if metal is cut very quickly. The softest tactile feel of any water stone I've ever used. Just an absolute pleasure to use. The 3000 grit is probably closer to most 5000 grit stones, polishing well above the advertised grit like any other stone in the range. Moving on, I usually use it after the Chosera 1000 and before the Naniwa Snow White 8000 and then the lines. This is the older 25mm socketed version with Nagura (which I never use but I know some people like). The new stones are branded 'Naniwa Professional', they are 5mm thinner and come without a base for the same price, but they are said to be harder and wear out more slowly, but I haven't noticed any difference in performance between the two versions , so definitely go to the older version Chosera. as long as they are available.
