These headphones are well mixed. Let's face it, headphones don't last that long. Even the most expensive headphones fail over time. It was not so bad. I bought them in May 2016. It is now November 2017 and I will buy new ones because the right earbud has stopped working. I need a PC balance of around 15/50 to get the appearance of stereo sound and even then the sound in my right ear just croaks for bass sounds and the sound is much more compressed as if you are listening to a 32kb sound would file . 1 1/2 years is a decent range for a pair of headphones, especially at $20, but I'd rather pay a little more and get double or triple. My old Zune headphones lasted a good 6 years.
