Great door for my cat - check out the installation

Our cat converted a small existing hole in our window grille overlooking our porch into a large hole to get in and out of a noisy passing truck. I wanted to block the window but instead I decided to install this pet door around the opening and make it his personal pet window. Installation was easy although I installed the door backwards so the locks were on the outside. Once the door is attached, it's locked and can't (or maybe not easily) be removed again, so I put the screen back on the window. This only works for us because we are on the second floor and it is an enclosed porch. With the screen locks now outside, I wouldn't recommend this for a ground level repair. Just pay more attention than me and make sure the door is set correctly before you hammer everything in. I didn't have a hammer, so I placed a folded towel on top of the frame and gently tapped with the hammer. We had no issues with him pushing open a locked door and releasing it or taking it off screen. Our cat took a while to get used to the door, but he's weird and doesn't usually push doors open with his face like normal pets - he prefers to get up and use his paws. He fooled us for a while by pretending he didn't know how to use the door, but we encouraged him with treats so he just wanted to eat. One day while chasing him, he jumped to the window where the door was and was half there when he realized he was trying to maintain the illusion that he didn't know how to use it yet. He stopped halfway to the door, looked at me, and walked back into the house, looking at me and feigning confusion. But I've seen too much. Now he uses the door with no problem.
