I have a neighbor's feral cat who adopted me, his name is Mo. I feed him and let him sleep on my porch as I have a house cat. It's pretty cold here in downtown New York and my porch is closed but not heated. I got it as soon as the pace started to drop. I put a pillow on the bedding I prepared for him. He quickly got used to it and didn't try to remove it from the bed. I was surprised how quickly he fell asleep. Even more amazing was when I checked it out last night. I was pretty cold on the porch (I could see my exhaled air), but Moe slept comfortably curled up. I had to take a night photo. I think this pillow will perfectly complement the igloo accommodation that I have also ordered. Mo will be safe, comfortable and warm this winter. I put my hand on the mat where Mo was lying and felt a noticeable temperature difference. (Update 11/24/21) - We had our first snowfall 2 nights ago. The outside temperature was between 25 and 27 degrees, but Mo was still sleeping soundly. So far, so good. I intend to use 2 of these rugs on his bedding in combination with an igloo canopy that will be in the enclosed porch.
