I replaced another fountain faucet - the previous style was a cartoon orca baby killer whale which worked fantastic but eventually broke. I figured I'd go for a more sophisticated, "mature" design and found this one. Looks great but definitely doesn't work as efficiently as my whale model. I have to increase the water pressure and use both hands to squeeze the hole hard enough to direct the flow of water up out of the fountain, but this results in a lot of extra splashing when I lean over to drink/flush. With the whale I was able to hold the flow damper closed with one hand and got a powerful fountain with half the effort. My eco-conscious self decided to keep it and work with its quirks because it's harder to get back.
