The shelf was easy to assemble myself except for the step where you have to lift the top half to lower it onto the bottom half. It's getting a little embarrassing. However, I completed the task. I am 59 years old and have some arthritis issues. It's also a good idea to wall-mount it to keep it from tipping over when the weight is stored on the top shelves. I highly recommend installing and wall mounting the straps that come with the kit. Good shelf. Beautiful wood color. It matches the desk.
