Ordered size 3 for my horse whose front feet are 6 1/8" wide and 6 1/8" long (freshly trimmed 5 days ago). Size 3 should fit. The size chart shows width 5 3/8" - 6 3/8" and length 5 3/8" - 6 3/8". The boots arrive. The packaging says size 3. Insert made of stretched leather. Measured. Width 6 7/16" (close enough to 6 3/8"). And 6 inches long. Only 6 inches. What? Okay, maybe the material of the boot is light enough that this boot will still work. Reinstall the leather inlay. He shook off his hoof, trying to land it all the way down. Pull out. Tow away. Ok, so be it. Fasten the Velcro as tightly as possible. no Its heel bulbs hang from the back of the sole of the boot. Velcro on the back is torn. The shoe is too small. So the size is shaky. The landing is shaky. I don't know about durability because I need to order a larger size before letting her out of the stall and into the paddock. So I'm still stuck with veterinary wrap, gauze bandages and duct tape. Until the next shoe size comes along. And I'll update this when it happens. <sigh>
