As our puppy is 15 years old, he is blind and deaf and has arthritis in his hind legs, it is difficult for her to climb on the bed and sofa. We bought this bed a few weeks ago and she loves it. When we get home we often find her dozing in the bedroom, which she has never done before. We just bought the same bed but with a plush cover. We thought she might be too hot in the Texan heat, but she's gotten used to it. We moved the oxford bed to the living room because the soft comforter is quieter for the bedroom. I like that she doesn't limp so much after laying on these beds. I haven't washed the bedspreads yet but will update the review when I do.
