I ordered a large size, my granddaughter is 8 but due to her genes she is tall, 8 years old, wears size 6 1/2 shoes, her mother is 5ft 7" and her father is 6ft 7" that explains her height and foot size and these socks can fit my 3 year old granddaughter so I cut off the foot and sewed a ruffle to a sock that fits her foot!
