I purchased this toner in October but didn't need to install it on my HP M281 CD until March. Unknown to me at the time, HP had installed a firmware update in November that prevented the printer from working with non-HP toner cartridges. Well, HP toner is about 4 times more expensive than this one! So I contacted the seller to see if they had a solution. They responded VERY quickly and offered several solutions to the problem. 1) revert to an older firmware version, 2) put chips from my old HP cartridges into new cartridges, or 3) they can send me new chips. They included instructions on how to do this in their answer. Well, HP got smart and removed the old firmware from their website. I was able to find it in the form of a YouTube video link, downgrade to an older firmware version and verify that the printer no longer updates the firmware automatically. This solved the problem. Now it prints great. I assume the seller updated the chip in the new cartridges so this is no longer a problem. But I was very impressed with how quickly and helpfully they responded to me. That means a lot! I will definitely buy from them again.
