I am very glad I bought this player and speaker set. First, everything you need is in the box; Speakers, turntable, turntable mat, speaker wire and stylus. Setup took about 10 minutes and could have been five, but I never "floated" or balanced my arm. It's very simple and there's a lot of support on YouTube for this topic. Mine is set at 2.5-3.0 grams and sounds great there. I didn't have any cracks at this setting, but a few at 2.0 grams. Everything in this work feels rough. The platter disc is literally a piece of stamped steel and probably weighs at least 2 pounds. The switches are made of metal, the base of the player is made of wood, as are the speakers. The speakers appear like veneer, but they fit together perfectly. I only played through the speakers that came with it, but it has additional settings and adapters to connect it to your own sound system. It gets loud enough for me and fills a fairly decent room with a nice warm tone. I'm new to vinyl and ultimately I love that it looks and feels like some turntables that cost hundreds of dollars more. The sound flatters my ears and I'm thrilled!
