Review on Morec Charger Holster Connector Electric by Rusty Smith

Helps keep charging handle neatly stored

I already had a Type II charger with a built in cord storage compartment (a simple plastic flange on the front allows for easy winding of the cord around the charger ), but there was no place to park my EVSE J1772 plug/button - so it was hanging down with a 1' uncoiled cable. This cover fixes that. It wasn't what I would call cheap, but it was reasonably priced enough that my significant other appreciated the neater charger setup. I would like them to offer a holster with a 45 degree tilt (or at least some angle): if this holster were simply screwed to the wall, the handle would stick straight out, putting unnecessary strain on the cord attachment point and looking awkward. . Instead, I made a wooden mounting base in the shape of a right triangle, attached it to the wall, and then attached the holster to the downward sloping surface. Simple enough, and when "parked" in the holster, the lanyard and end of the handle now hang almost parallel to the wall without bending the lanyard's attachment point. The holster itself feels solid and holds the handle securely with a simple insert/release operation.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
