First I had to separate the first 2 fingers but the third finger was also needed. I bought the 3 finger version although my doctor recommended the 2 finger version which I also bought and it worked great. This three finger divider was very uncomfortable and I couldn't hold it for very long. The elastic from the third toe cut into my leg in the gap between the toes. I couldn't bring myself not to do this. Because it's adjustable, I could take off the third sheepskin coat and I'd probably be fine. This isn't necessary as I also have a two finger version. I gave it 2 stars because I think it could be turned into a two finger straightener if that were useful. Will try when the other wears out. If you have long toes this may not be a problem.
