Review on ๐Ÿ“บ iPazzPort Backlit Mini Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard - Ideal for TV Stick, Smart TV, Android TV Box by Adam Jauregui

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice IR and BT cable cutter

Update 2020: My 2018 model is out of stock. This new model does not have an IR blaster to control the TV. Original Rating: Very happy to find this remote control! I recently cut the cable and switched to Firestick. This perfectly combines the functions of a Firestick remote (Bluetooth) and a TV remote (InfraRed) with a keyboard! I used the Firestick app until I found this. I don't need voice control, that's great. That's why I gave it 4 stars: Pros: 1. Combines Firestick and TV remotes in 1 keyboard. 2. Rechargeable battery via USB cable. 3. Eight programmable IR buttons. 4. Backlight to see the keys in the dark. The keyboard keys are well spaced and respond well to suspension. Cons: 1. No Firestick voice control. 2. Instructions are not very clear, poor translation. , mute and sleep timer are programmed. If you need more than 3 functions, programming is annoying. Some IR training had to be repeated several times before the code was finally saved. My TV remote literally had to touch the remote's head to transmit the code. 5. Bluetooth Interference. Turning on other BT devices (such as headphones, speakers, remote controls, etc.) may cause this remote control to stop pairing. There is no quick "re-pairing" with the Firestick and you may need to re-pair this remote in settings. 6. Oddly enough, USB charges better from a PC than from a traditional phone charger. The manual says that any 5V DC supply will charge it. 7. No charger or method to find out how much battery is left. The red LED goes out, does that mean "fully charged"? How long? 8. No home button like the Firestick remote. 9. You need to hold down the FN and BACK keys to return to the previous screen i.e. go back. Luckily I don't need it.
