These bags are torn. They tear when you take them off the roll. They tear when opened. They rip when you try to put them in the compost bin and when you take it out to take it outside. Just in case it doesn't break because your nail brushed against it, then it will break at the seam below or your finger will go straight through. I resorted to tearing them off the roll as slowly as I open them. Check envelopes. Then tie a knot at the bottom. THEN DOUBLE PACK! And to this day they sometimes rip the 50 foot path to my compost bin outside! So I'll take them in a bowl now. They should not be softer than wafer paper. They catch food waste! They must be strong enough to carry a potato skin and some chicken bones without falling apart! It's a shame that this company sells bags of such poor quality that you can't even handle them carefully so as not to break them.
