Review on 🚲 M-Wave Ventura Black Double Leg Kickstand for 26-29-inch Bicycles by Benjamin Robinson

This requires a change!

1st modification, has a much longer bolt to fit a DiamondBack mountain bike. 2nd modification, I couldn't get the top plate forward far enough for the bolt to go straight to the stand. (By the way, you'll need an angle grinder with a metal cutting disc.) So I cut off the front of the mounting plate a bit so the screw goes straight through the frame. 3. Modification. Now when you try to screw the stand to the bottom of the bike, the stand will not sit flat due to the bottom bracket. Getting back to the angle grinder, I removed part of the front of the stand mount until it hits the bottom bracket and can screw the bolt right into the stand. Mod 4, I just didn't like the square. The bracket was sticking out on the sides of the frame and also blocked the cables going to the BBSHD mid-drive. So I cut/sanded the sides of the bracket to match the frame profile. 5th modification, standard edition of the stand, sits very close to the ground. You'll need to grind the metal on both sides, either on the part that touches the fence or on the fence itself, until it sits as high as you want it in the "up" position. 6. Modification when the bike is on a stand. is very high in the air. So I took off the plastic legs, cut off both legs and put them back on. NOTE: Use a heat source such as B. a heat gun to gently heat the plastic legs to soften the hot melt adhesive holding them in place, otherwise they will be VERY difficult to remove. A few coats of black paint and by putting it together you have a nice customized center stand. You probably think I hate this product, but I would happily buy it again. If you want a custom bike, the second thing you should buy after a set of wrenches and screwdrivers is an angle grinder. because you have to modify almost everything you put on the bike. It was annoying at first, but I'm starting to get into the habit.
