Review on 🔌 Bissell 17/2 Power Supply Cord Black, 12amp Polarized - Vacuum Cleaner by Nancy Willink

Our original cable was probably 12 to 15 years old. I've run over it hundreds of times. The outer coating sometimes wore off when the vacuum cleaner ran over the cord and stayed there for a while while I was moving something. I had probably 5 to 7 dots on the cord that I wrapped with tape. Here's the important part. The coating on the internal wires has never been stripped off. It's really good to cover the wires inside. However, the cable eventually had to be replaced. This new cable rubbed the outer part very quickly, exposing the copper on both inner wires. It would have been a brief or possible electric shock if I hadn't noticed it right away. I patched the cable, I didn't change it. I just have to be very careful when vacuuming and check the cord after each use. Please keep this in mind when ordering this item.
