Review on Legrand - OnQ AC1040 Universal-10 inch Plastic Mounting Plate in White by Richard Lamptey

The mount worked but it just seems like it could have a few extra and trivial features like: - deeper base; it can be an inch lower and better suited for larger components (like the DSL modem/router that comes with my TV/ISP) - narrower base; The standard data closets they fit in usually have wires routed down the sides and that didn't really leave much room - better placement of notches/velcro or even more notches; I think 6 sets of notches would be better instead of 4. The component I installed takes up about 75% of the width, which means that I could only use the internal cutouts if I wanted to leave enough space on the sides for access to the ports and visibility of the indicators/buttons. I had to move it to the side of the mount for better mounting stability - better to use velcro or adjustable nylon straps instead. I would like the included hook strips to be 1 continuous length instead of 4 pieces so I can cut them to length in 2 pieces instead of assembling strips from multiple pieces. I also had to find a clever way to make the ends accessible so I could remove the component without removing the brace from the cabinet. The system doesn't allow the strap to be tightened, so adjustable straps might have been better. The rest of the piece seems good but too basic for the price paid.
