They are NOT suitable for outdoor use. Pears break easily. Some were broken upon arrival. They give you spare bulbs but only red and white not green which I found odd. Also some tubes on 2 of my 5 strings stopped working when I used them in the first season. Candles and lightbulbs also got into the water (I seriously only saw an air bubble and mostly water in one of the lightbulbs I removed). Also, since the size of the bulb is small, the colors were not very different from the street colors. You're honestly better off just getting bigger bulbs than these. I bet they're only good indoors and not around pets or kids (again, glass bottles break easily).
