They are made from the same PVC coated fabric as many other heavy duty dry bags and backpacks. The buckles are very large and the double stitching looks nice. I have yellow and it's noticeable but not welcome. The elastic cord on the outside looks nice and is thick enough to hold things. I didn't have much trouble fitting them to the standard carrier on my '07 DL650, although the strap that attaches to the back of the bike barely fit. The Velcro straps weren't long enough to fit, so I folded them up easily enough and set them aside. They are advertised as 30 liters but due to how screw caps work they are actually larger than that, closer to 35 or maybe 40 although you will be pushing the limits of the cap system. They have no internal structure so they look a little sloppy when empty, but there are enough straps and buckles to keep them from dangling.
