Review on Pack of 20 Red Wax Battery Operated Remote Control LED Flameless Christmas Candles with Tree Clips by Lights4fun, Inc. by Elizabeth Reyes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Reasonably well made, multifunctional

Height: lower clip 1.9 cm / red candle 7.5 cm / upper "flame" 1.9 cm / entire candle circumference 6.3 cm Flicker: The lamp illuminates the top 1.5" that contains the tip of the flame and some of the red wax. The flame tip is white and therefore appears yellowish when lit. You control the flicker with the buttons on the remote for "Candle" ( on) and "light" (off) The flicker is very faint and only comes in the red so the flicker is NOT coming from the top, that's why people think it doesn't work! it may not be at all. Dimmers: They control the brightness of the light from fairly dim to not quite bright. As mentioned above, the dimmer you turn the light, the less likely you are to see a lot of flickering ehst - red at the top, NO at the top again Clip: The clip is quite sturdy, the plastic is thick and sturdy. It spins in all directions to make sure it eventually gets caught somewhere. We can straighten it for balance. The black cover just pops off for easy battery insertion, but that means that if we manipulate the clamp and rotation too aggressively for balance, it will also come loose and cut power. A gentle touch is required to avoid disappointment. Cons: They're not designed for room lighting or reading light. If it's a single candle they may be too dim to light the tree, but consider having 20 of them on a smaller tree or 40 on a larger one and it will brighten up. I think the flickering effect when they're all lit at max brightness might be ok - this is May I should see in December when the tree is complete. Overall Impression: Don't let initial looks fool you. Try them out and see what you can do with them. They're really well thought out and for less than $2 each it's not that far fetched as I think they will last a couple of seasons from our own accidental destruction (don't leave the battery behind when packing them up etc. ). ) . I thought they looked really cheap but this is too close and too picky. Because of the waxy outer shell, they feel and look like candles. No one will take it to examine closely unless you offer it by holding it in front of the person's eyes. The clip is strong and durable enough. In general I am satisfied with them. I bought 2 packs thinking it would all be on the tree but now I see I will be using one pack on the tree and the other to decorate my front door.
