Too thin, not recommended.
I compared them to some other wooden wicks I already had on hand from a reputable candle/soap supplier. They are much thinner and thin. The only good thing is the anchors. I picked up the anchors and threw away the wicks. Learn from all the negative reviews. You are right. And they are made in China, FYI.
