This is simply an amazing product to build and use. My small home office needs every square inch. I have envelopes, letterhead and special printer paper that used to be scattered around the office. This shelf helps to place them in a chic place. They even thought of small cutouts on each shelf so you can easily play around with paper on each shelf (without scratching your nails or shaking a nail to get a stack off the shelf). But what I like best is the assembly. . The whole thing took about 7 minutes with about 1 minute of hesitation. Can't believe it's so durable with just wood and thick rubber bands. No screws, no other tools, just perfect grooves and enough elastics (thanks for the extra elastics!). There was a minute's hesitation in fastening shelf 3 when I heard that heart-wrenching crackle of wood. It wasn't anything at all, just the flexing of the bamboo, but it was a frightening sound. I quickly got smarter and realized that you had to put rubber bands around the shelves that were already in their grooves to keep them secure. Also assemble the back and one of the sides first and then attach the last side. (Yes, there was a picture guide, but the instructions were rightly minimal.) A rare product with literally everything fitting together. Because of the way the slots are arranged (as part of a puzzle with a female and a male piece), you can't go wrong. But in case you do, you have a lot of rubber bands. I want my entire build to be as light, reliable and durable as this one. This created an embarrassingly strange joy that my husband didn't understand.
