I've never bought running shoes online before but with what's going on in the world (not to mention the price) I thought it might be worth a try. Photos can sometimes be misleading so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. These shoes look GREAT! Stylish and well built with one important exception (more on that later). When I put them on, my enthusiasm collapsed. Click! That's right, the lace (more precisely, two thin pieces of thread through which the laces pass) completely tore. I watched in disbelief as the thought of having to endure the hassle of sending it back collided with the fact that I would have to put on my old running shoes if I still wanted to run. boo! Needless to say, very disappointing! I've never seen this design in a shoe, but to say it's a bug would be an understatement. It amazes me how many positive reviews go unmentioned. It's not like I pulled them with all my might, but even if I did, it still shouldn't have happened. Bottom line: if you're the type of guy who wears sneakers ridiculously loose and/or doesn't even bother to tie them, then you can probably get by with them. In fact, I could even do that and just wear them as casual shoes. As for tight-fitting activities, run rather than walk, avoid them as they are a poor choice.
