I have been riding this scooter a mile to work every day for the past 8 months and have been very pleased overall. On my very flat route it's about three times faster than walking and it's very easy to drive. Minor Complaints: 1. The deck is barely big enough for my shoes (11-12, 45-46 EU size), the gap at the ends is only about 2.5cm or less, so when I change my foot for a change need to be careful to put my foot in. acceptable place.2. The plastic nut at the front wheel/deck connection can loosen every few weeks - when a bumpy stop during my ride loosened the connection, I noticed it came loose a couple of times and had to quickly tighten it again.3. Due to its weight and length, it tends to wobble annoyingly on my ankles and calves when maneuvering through doorways and corners - ouch! 4. In the rain the rear fender still splashes my foot onto the board so my pants get wet after about a mile. The steering tends to go into a groove when going straight - a cheap steering column. Difficult decision whether to go with the A5 (8" wheels, I have those too) or the A6 (10" wheels) or spend three times as much on the Xooter. The A6 suits me best - I don't mind the size, it was $100 the day I bought it, and some sidewalks around here need big wheels. The A5 dominates campus scooters here at USC - lower cost and compactness are probably the norm for students. Forget battery powered scooters, they go fast enough to be dangerous, but this one isn't. Remove the stand, it's useless. As with any hard rubber wheel, wet grip is poor. Most of the sinister branding can be removed to make it look mature enough and I put on a USC sticker or two for fun. The wheel started making noise after a month so I switched to the Xooter Dash. Comparison: 1. The handlebars turned out to be only 2 inches lower, not 4 inches as the spec suggests. 2. comfortable but inefficient brakes. not lighter when folded 6. Better aesthetics and no rattling 7. The handlebar tends to slide down unless the screw is tightened very firmly. Overall, the Xooter is a (more expensive) upgrade.
