In the 80's I permed my hair every 4-6 weeks to style my hair into the cute short curly hairstyle I loved so much. Then my skin rebelled and I haven't had a perm since. But my hair is only slightly wavy. It was a kind of judgement. I finally grew it so I don't have to mess around with it. But in my 50's it got thinner and the gray hairs always end at 2 inches. The other day I cut it into a long pixie. I sent for these curlers. Without the perm my hair looks almost the same as it did in the 80's without the perm burning the scalp. Hooray. I've always liked this style. I use a few volume and hold products, but nothing like perm solutions.
