Review on Enhance Your 2010 Kia Soul with Metra 99-7337B Single Din Radio Kit (Black) by Charles Butler

I recently received this kit to pair with a Pioneer DEH-80PRS and the Metra owner's manual lists a DIN mount with a picture of the radio in the front position. But the only way to mount my DIN sized radio is from the back because the hole is 6-3/4" while the DIN standard is 7-1/8". Now the problem is that when I open my front panel I can't insert a CD because the handle hits the plastic. They didn't make it a standard DIN hole so you can adjust the depth of the radio using the ISO screw location on the back or nothing unless you want to cut the kit with a Dremel I called Metras Tech Line to see if maybe I just got a bad apple, but the tech told me it must be a typo because he can't do the install to DIN, which basically turns the chassis into a Kit plugs into an ISO mount that uses screws on the sides for a rear mount like I said above. The best thing and I thought this kit would suffice is to have both so you can put the chassis in the kit ect and then match it with the ISO screw holes which usually line up at a certain depth for you. This all seems absurd to me because DIN is what almost all radios have these days, let alone most aftermarket radios that have some sort of knob that sticks out and gets in the way. Why would Metra build a kit that is pretty much useless to most users? Instead I decided to order a Schoche kit, Scosche 010KA2096B 2009 Kia Soul Double Din With Bag, this kit will fit both single and double din. Let's see how this works.
