Deciding to cut parts costs to build my first computer from scratch, I ended up with a Micro-ATX motherboard. Problem? The mainboard only has one connection for my three case fans. This small detail solved my problems. There seems to be a little more juice flowing through the black connectors and getting the fans running at full speed, while the white connectors run the same fans at lower speeds.
