I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews.

Although this drive is exceptionally small by today's standards, it came as described and works great. That would be more than enough for the operating system and core productivity applications given the same limitations you would encounter with any other SATA SSD on the market at this price point. Storage devices in general are scattered throughout other reviews, so I think it's important to clarify a few things for future buyers. Storage devices, whether solid state drive, mechanical or otherwise, are not included in the installation hardware. Actuator mounting screws are supplied with the housing. If you don't have them, you'll have to buy them regardless of the disc you bought. If you lost the hardware included in the package, you will need to recover it.- Cables are not included with storage hardware. They come bundled with motherboards, and while they rarely offer enough cables to connect each SATA port, they usually include more than one. If you don't have a cable or other adapter/means of connecting the drive, you'll have to buy these things like any other drive you can buy as an alternative. Macrium Reflect is and has been available. as a free download for private use for quite some time. The use of the software is independent of the SK Hynix software. You can download it directly from the Macrium website, although it's nice that it's still available. Hard drives are not delivered partitioned. The drive is completely unpartitioned and you may need to manually create and format partitions and assign drive letters appropriately, depending on your use case, GPT or otherwise. It's possible, but unlikely, that you'll encounter incompatibilities with much older hardware. It depends on many factors, although I suspect you must be talking about something terribly old. If you connect this drive to a legacy SATA port, performance will suffer. This does not indicate a faulty hard drive. If your board has these ports at all, read the previous comment (terribly old). - This is perfectly normal and performance degradation is expected when performing extremely large scale read/write operations. When the cache overflows, the following happens. The same applies to other SATA SSDs. It is totally unrealistic to expect any company to help you create a disc image with free bundled software. If you need it, chances are you'll spend a lot of time getting there and may or may not be successful in the long run. all processes associated with the installation or configuration of the software.
