I highly recommend this product. As a retired Marine who does karate and boxing, my legs are bigger than usual. LexAuto has been a great purchase. I've used an extension cord back and forth on American Airlines flights. I bought the strap after measuring the length of the strap for this carrier. There doesn't seem to be a standard length. The belt is easy to install. However, I have encountered two situations where the belt is loose. Note that if the punched end of the aircraft strap is under and very close to the armrest, the manual latch can get under the armrest and open. This is not a LexAuto defect! This is caused by a short strap on the aircraft harness attachment. In fact, I've seen four American Airlines seat belts with the same problem. If needed, I would buy this product again at any time.
