*April 2020 update: A severe destructive storm has occurred. Nobody was hurt, but camera footage would be nice to have. Miraculously, the DVR system decides that it does have storm footage, but good luck finding it. After a few hours of viewing records, this timestamp has daylight and normal light, and after 30 minutes total darkness from a different date and time. In the end I gave up and formatted the disk. The start got worse. Register to open the app on PC, but it's not the same as registering on the website. Right now I have no idea what I signed up for and the app is awful (btw "cancel" is misspelled). They insist that I connect the system to them and then ruin everything. Typical* August 2019 update: This kit still connects and works well. I always have a monitor on in my office to watch live broadcasts. Very happy with this facility. Note. I'm back to post as I just left another nasty update for my ZModos which are becoming more and more useless over time. For the price, I'm impressed with what's in the boxes. No hard drive was included with my purchase but one was added for the recording function. If you are inexperienced with installing a hard drive, I recommend a system with the hard drive already installed. In this case, installing the hard drive is a little tedious, and the edges are sharp. Once the DVR software is up and running, it seems stable and the user interface isn't too complicated (I'm an IT pro, so your experience may vary). Tennis ball cameras are more difficult to set up than balls, which is the biggest problem. Child. (Note to Zosya - mark or tag the camera so it is facing UP.) Once installed and powered on, the cameras immediately came to life and the picture quality is excellent. In my opinion they could have used a wide angle lens but for the price I'm happy with that. IR seems accurate: one of my overlapping cameras picks up IR from another camera with ease. Most cameras I've had have lost their IR capabilities in one form or another, so we'll see how they hold up. The client software could have been better and my windows 7 system didn't like loading the web client software unless I modified IE to run it. However. The client doesn't work at all in Firefox or Chrome. The Zosi View software isn't great either, but my expectations aren't that high based on the experience. Both products are better than my ZModo junk which is what made me buy them in the first place. ZModo These guys.
