I bought some cheap honeycomb lights because the thin LED strips at the top and bottom of the lights - Daytime Running Lights [DRL] - matched the new LED strips on my new fenders. But that's where her work began and ended! They focused terribly, illuminating the tops of the trees and blinding me by illuminating the entire area in front of my eyes. That's why I decided to find a medium-sized lantern with a demonstrably [photo] clean, clear cut-off for the coming winter. I found these lights at Auxbeam and a few other retailers but chose Auxbeam because of their reputation and I have been kind to their customer service in the past with another lighting issue. They arrived as expected in a nice box, well packaged and protected from damage. Installation was very easy even though I do all my work on m-th jeeps. My JL already had aftermarket lights installed, I was out of factory connectors otherwise it would be plug and play as these are true 9" lights with factory JL connectors and adapters in case an upgrade from factory base halogen is required. Option. After I installed mine, it was just before dark and I had to drive across the state. It took a few flashes of oncoming traffic and subsequent stops to tweak the beam path [slightly lower], but the design of the light housing also makes it very easy, just quick enough and easy to remove the hex screw on the back of the housing. my expectations! They look just as good as the factory light filter!Tonight 12/18/20 here in Traverse City, Michigan for the holidays and during my 2.5 hour drive it snowed, beating the PLUS group in the fog. North and I was able to keep my speed ahead of other drivers because I could see the lines of the road SO CLEARLY! The SUV, combined with my parking lights and fog lights, creates a seamless 180° aura of bright light in front of and beside me to negotiate obstacles. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE LIGHTS!
